Decentralizing Private Blockchain-IoT Network with OLSR

چکیده
With data transparency and immutability, the blockchain can provide trustless decentralized services for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, most blockchain-IoT networks, especially those with a private blockchain, are built on top an infrastructure-based wireless network (i.e., using Wi-Fi access points or cellular base stations). Hence, they still under risk Single-Point-of-Failure (SPoF) layer, hindering decentralization merit, example, when stations get failures. This paper presents Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol-based solution that issue in application. By decentralizing underlying OLSR, avoid SPoF automatically recover after failure. Single connections be extended to multiple ad hoc hops. Services over become flexible fit various IoT scenarios. We show effectiveness our by constructing Ethereum running devices Raspberry Pi model 4) environmental sensing Particular Matter (PM)). The use OLSR form network. environment collected propagated transactions pre-loaded smart contract periodically. then evaluate network’s recovery time facing link error. evaluation results also transaction-oriented latency block-oriented latency, which indicates blocks have high transmission quality, while transferred individually.

Due to their rapid growth and deployment, Internet of things (IoT) devices have become a central aspect of our daily lives. However, they tend to have many vulnerabilities which can be exploited by an attacker. Unsupervised techniques, such as anomaly detection, can help us secure the IoT devices. However, an anomaly detection model must be trained for a long time in order to capture all benign...

BlockChain (BC) has attracted tremendous attention due to its immutable nature and the associated security and privacy benefits. BC has the potential to overcome security and privacy challenges of Internet of Things (IoT). However, BC is computationally expensive, has limited scalability and incurs significant bandwidth overheads and delays which are not suited to the IoT context. We propose a ...
متن کاملVirtual Resources & Blockchain for Configuration Management in IoT
Until now, most systems for Internet of Things (IoT) management, have been designed in a Cloud-centric manner, getting benefits from the unified platform that the Cloud offers. However, a Cloud-centric infrastructure mainly achieves static sensor and data streaming systems, which do not support the direct configuration management of IoT components. To address this issue, a virtualization of IoT...

Quality-of-Service (QoS) routing protocol is developed for mobile Ad Hoc Networks. MANET is a self configuring network of mobile devices connected by wireless links. Each device in the MANET is free to move independently in any direction; therefore, it changes links to other devices frequently. The proposed QoS-based routing in the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol relates bandwidth ...

Device failures, performance ineeciencies, and security compromises are some of the problems associated with the operations of networked systems. EEective management requires monitoring, interpreting, and controlling the behavior of the distributed resources. Current management systems pursue a platform-centered paradigm, where agents monitor the system and collect data, which can be accessed b...
